On arrival into Edinburgh Airport, you will be met by your transfer driver in the Arrivals Terminal and transferred to your Edinburgh accommodation where you can drop off your luggage and start exploring. Explore Edinburgh City where centuries of history meet a vibrant, cosmopolitan city in a stunning setting.


Edinburgh Hop on Hop off Sightseeing Tour Bus

You will enjoy a city tour on board the Edinburgh Hop on Hop Off Sight-seeing Tour Bus with a 48-hour ticket. The tour will help you compare Edinburgh’s Old Town to the elegant Georgian New Town, with its 3 main streets and square at either end.


Edinburgh Castle

Visit Edinburgh Castle, see the Crown Jewels and learn about the battles and sieges fought at the castle. You will also learn about the royals who lived and died within its walls. From the Castle you will see the panoramic views over Edinburgh City.

Palace of Holyroodhouse

Today you will visit the Palace of Holyroodhouse and discover the regal splendour of Edinburgh’s Palace of Holyroodhouse complex with an entrance ticket to the Queen’s official Scottish residence. Explore the State Apartments; see Mary Queen of Scots’ historic chambers, the Throne Room and much more.


The Royal Yacht Britannia

The Royal Yacht Britannia was home to Her Majesty The Queen and the Royal Family for over 40 years, sailing over 1,000,000 miles around the world. Now berthed in Edinburgh, you can follow in the footsteps of Royalty to discover the heart and soul of this most special of Royal residences.

Today you will collect your car rental from Downtown Edinburgh office after 9am and travel to Dunnottar.


Dunnottar Castle

This dramatic and evocative ruined cliff top fortress was the home of the Earls Marischal. Steeped in history, this romantic and haunting ruin is a history lover’s dream and an iconic tourist destination. An impregnable fortress that holds many rich secrets of Scotland’s colourful past.


Stonehaven Town

You might like to stop off for lunch in Stonehaven, a pretty harbour town south of Aberdeen, famous for its Hogmanay fireballs ceremony. Beautiful and breath-taking Stonehaven has a sheltered working harbour busy with sailing yachts. Its sandy seafront and picture perfect harbour home some of the region’s top eateries including; Aunt Betty’s Ice-Cream Parlour, the award winning Bay Fish and Chips and The Tolbooth Seafood restaurant.

Continue on to Inverness and your accommodation for the next 3 nights.

Guided Loch Ness Cruise and Urquhart Castle Visit

Cruise on Loch Ness and visit Urquhart Castle on this 2.5 hour coach and boat tour that transports you directly from Inverness city center to the legendary Loch Ness. Cruise across the Loch’s world-famous waters and keep an eye on the sonars for a blip that could be Nessie! Then explore the historic ruins of the once mighty stronghold of Urquhart Castle.


Battle of Culloden

Today you will visit the Battle of Culloden Visitor Centre where the British Government forces defeated the army of Prince Charles Edward Stuart, popularly named Bonnie Prince Charlie. Walk around the moorland and the Visitor Centre which explains how events led to the conflict ending the clan system in Scotland.

Castle Sinclair Girnigoe

Visit Castle Sinclair Girnigoe, it is the only castle in Scotland to be listed by the World Monuments Fund. This once impregnable medieval renaissance stronghold is now the most spectacular ruin in the North of Scotland.


Inverness Castle

You will see Inverness Castle right in the heart of Inverness city overlooking the River Ness. Originally built of wood, it was replaced by a fortress of stone on Castle Hill. Today it is the Court house and is not open to the public.

Jacobite Steam Train

Today you will travel to Fort William to catch the Jacobite Steam Train. Described as the greatest railway journey in the world, this 84 mile round trip takes you past a list of impressive extremes. Starting near the highest mountain in Britain, Ben Nevis, it visits Britain’s most westerly mainland railway station, Arisaig; passes close by the deepest freshwater loch in Britain, Loch Morar, and the shortest river in Britain, River Morar, finally arriving next to the deepest seawater loch in Europe, Loch Nevis! At the end of the journey you will arrive back in Fort William where you spend the night.

Isle of Skye

Skye is a truly magical place. The largest of the Inner Hebrides, it is home to some of Scotland’s most iconic landscapes. The island has countless ways to enchant you, with its mountain ranges, miles of dramatic coastline and captivating history.


Dunvegan Castle 

Today you will visit Dunvegan Castle which is located to the north of Dunvegan on the Isle of Skye, off the west coast of Scotland. Any visit to the Isle of Skye is incomplete without savouring the wealth of history and clan legend on offer at Dunvegan Castle & Gardens. Built on a rock in an idyllic loch side setting, Dunvegan is the oldest continuously inhabited castle in Scotland and has been the ancestral home of the Chiefs of Clan MacLeod for 800 years.

Kyle of Lochalsh, the land of castles, hills and lochs, is a gateway to the Isle of Skye and the wonderful North West coast. The attractive collection of largely white-washed buildings is the main commercial centre of Kyle and other amenities include a variety of accommodations, a few shops and a bank.


Eilean Donan Castle

The 13th Century Castle in the Highlands of Scotland and you will embark on a journey that takes you through time and history. As one of the most iconic images of Scotland, Eilean Donan is recognised all around the world. Situated on an island at the point where three great sea lochs meet, and surrounded by some majestic scenery, it is little wonder that the castle is now one of the most visited and important attractions in the Scottish highlands.

Make your back to Edinburgh for your last night in Scotland, stopping off in Stirling on the way.



The historic Old Town boasts the finest concentration of historic buildings in Scotland. Look out for the beautifully preserved medieval and renaissance churches and mansions including the Argyll’s Lodging. Of course – there’s also the splendour of Stirling Castle and the world famous Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders Museum. There is so much to see and do in Stirling including the bustling city centre where there’s no shortage in shops, bars and cafes. 

Enjoy your last day in Edinburgh, maybe do a bit of last minute shopping or have a nice meal in one of Edinburgh’s gourmet restaurants.
