Day 1: Monday
Arrive in Dublin, Ireland

On arrival into Dublin enjoy a city tour of Ireland’s capital. Highlights of this morning city tour include to Trinity College where you will see the famous ‘Book of Kells’, a tour of Christchurch Cathedral which dates back to 1028 and hosts a medieval crypt and stunning interior and no trip to Dublin would be complete without a stop at Guinness Storehouse where you will get to sample a pint of the “Black Stuff” in the gravity bar with panoramic views of Dublin. Enjoy dinner in your hotel.

Day 2: Tuesday

Tour to Bru na Boinne Visitor Center which presents one of Europe’s great archaeological mysteries, along the Boyne Valley, and Newgrange or Knowth neolithic burial tomb, which predates the pyramids. Next it’s on to Downpatrick where we will visit the grave of St. Patrick – the patron saint of Ireland. We finish up the day in Belfast City, which is the capital of Northern Ireland. This city has had a turbulent past, but today is a cosmopolitan city with a vast and varied history. Frommers voted it as one of their Top 12 destinations to visit.

Day 3: Wednesday

Today you enjoy a sightseeing tour of the city which will include Stormont, the parliamentary buildings and a stop at the Titanic visitor center. The newly built center is located on the slipways where RMS Titanic was built. Visitors will re-live the entire storey from her birth, to the faithful maiden voyage and the eventual discovery on the seabed.

Day 4: Thursday

Tour the Antrim coast stopping in Carrickfergus, where King William of Orange landed in 1690 to fight the forces of King James II. Visiting the towns of Carnlough, Cushendun and Cushendall as your tour along the Antrim Coast. Try your skills at crossing the Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge before heading on to marvel at the Giant’s Causeway. The legend has it that Finn McCool, the mythical giant, built this bridge to Scotland to reach his beloved. The hexagonal shaped stone pilings and pillar are a geological marvel. On to visit the oldest distillery in Ireland or Britain, Bushmills, which received its charter in 1608. On to visit Dunluce Castle, a McDonnell Castle, sitting precariously on a cliff edge. You will enjoy dinner in your hotel this evening.

Day 5: Friday

You’ll enjoy a tour of the walled city and walk the 17th century walls and view the Guild Hall, the Bogside and St. Colum’s Cathedral. See the Guild Hall where the City Council sits. Visit the Derry City Museum, which takes you back through time from St. Columcille in the 5th century to the ‘Troubles’ of the late 20th century. Be sure to stop at the Heritage Center on Bishop Street. Enjoy the rest of the afternoon exploring and shopping in this vibrant city.

Day 6: Saturday

Today we leave for Dublin. On way we will visit the Ulster American Folk Park which is both an indoor and outdoor museum. It covers the period between the Scots Plantation to emigration to the New World. Next it’s Enniskillen Castle, which is situated beside the River Erne in County Fermanagh, and was built almost 600 years ago by Gaelic Maguires.  Guarding one of the few passes into Ulster, it was strategically important throughout its history.  In the 17th century it became an English garrison fort and later served as part of a military barracks.

Day 7: Sunday

Depart Ireland

This morning you are transferred to Dublin airport for your return flight home.
